Heron Announces Top Rated Superannuation Products for 2009/10

Superannuation consultancy, The Heron Partnership, has announced its most extensive assessment of superannuation products and named its highest rating products across several product categories.

The Heron Quality Star Ratings assessment covered in total 245 superannuation products, including 49 retail master trust products, 61 industry fund products, 83 pension products and all 16 Eligible Rollover Funds.  In addition, 36 master trust and industry fund products specifically designed for the corporate superannuation market have been assessed.

Heron’s Top Rated Superannuation Products

Mr Butler said “Each of these superannuation products has been judged by The Heron Partnership as outstanding and they each received the highest rating in their category.  All 4 products achieved excellent results in all Areas of importance that we assess.”

The Heron Partnership’s product ratings are based on feature specific benchmarks which guide Heron’s assessors to rate the feature objectively, with all products in each category therefore being rated on the exact same basis.  The ratings for each feature are aggregated to an overall numeric rating for each product.  The 4 Top Rated products achieved the highest rating for their category.
