Heron Announces Top Rated Superannuation Products for 2007/08

The Heron Partnership has now finalised its latest assessment of superannuation products and has announced the products that achieved the highest ratings.

The Heron Quality Star Ratings assessment covered 182 superannuation products, including 78 retail master trust products, 43 industry funds and all 15 Eligible Rollover Funds operating in Australia.  In addition, 46 master trust and industry fund products designed for the corporate superannuation market have been assessed.

Chris Butler, Managing Director of The Heron Partnership said, “We are very pleased to announce that the following three products achieved the highest ratings for their respective fund classification in our 2007/08 assessment".                                        

Heron’s Top Rated Superannuation Products

Mr Butler said “Each of these superannuation products has been judged by The Heron Partnership as outstanding and they each received the highest rating in their category.  All 3 products achieved excellent results in all Areas of importance that we assess.”

The Heron Partnership’s product ratings are based on feature specific benchmarks which guide Heron’s assessors to rate the feature objectively, with all products in each category therefore being rated on the exact same basis.  The ratings for each feature are aggregated to an overall numeric rating for each product.  The 3 Top Rated products achieved the highest rating for their category.
